In 2001, an organization of workers in Florida urged a one-year boycott of Taco Bell. The organization demanded higher wages and better prices for tomato growers in Florida. At a meeting in 2005 a small increase in tomato prices was approved.
In Europe, there are currently two Taco Bell restaurants with drive-through in Iceland.
